New Leaf Psych Origin Story

Owner, Elena (Lentz) Rodgers, became a licensed social worker in 2018. From the moment she took her first human services course, she dreamed that one day she would own and operate her own private practice—a vision driven by a deep passion for providing meaningful and compassionate care. In late 2024, she began the process of establishing her practice, taking the first steps toward realizing that long-held goal. 

She is thrilled to announce that this dream has now become a reality. Here at New Leaf Psych, it would be an honor to walk alongside you on your journey and support you in achieving your mental health and personal goals.

Meet the Team

  • I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) with a passion for helping clients feel supported, understood, and empowered in their healing journey. Since earning my Master of Social Work degree I’ve had the privilege of working across a variety of mental health settings, including community mental health and inpatient care.

    My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I draw from cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based strategies, EMDR, and person-centered counseling to tailor each session to your unique needs. Creating a safe, non-judgmental space is central to my work—I believe therapy is most effective when you feel truly seen and heard.

    I have experience supporting individuals who are navigating traumatic loss, grief, anxiety, depression, and LGBTQ+ issues, as well as adolescents (ages 13 and up) who are working through emotional and behavioral challenges. No matter what brings you to therapy, my goal is to walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and authenticity, helping you build insight, resilience, and meaningful change.

  • Hi, I am Elena (Lentz) Rodgers, LISW-S, therapist and owner of New Leaf Psychotherapy Services. If you have found your way here, there is likely a part of you that is tired of feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in the same painful patterns. Many of my clients come to therapy because they are dealing with anxiety, trauma, or stress that shows up in their body, their relationships, and their daily life. If you are worn out from always being on alert or trying to heal from past experiences, you are not alone.

    I provide trauma informed therapy for teens and adults who want support with anxiety, trauma recovery, and the relationship patterns that often grow out of these experiences. You might notice yourself people pleasing, shutting down, second guessing every decision, or ending up in relationships that leave you feeling unseen or unsafe. Therapy can help you understand these patterns and begin to create real change. In our sessions, you will have a space to slow down, breathe, and talk openly about what has been weighing on you without judgment or pressure.

    I show up with warmth, curiosity, and honesty. I will listen closely, help you make sense of what is happening inside you, and support you in building the steadiness and self trust you have been craving.
